Federal Mortgage Industry Compliance Experts - Expert Witness Services Nationwide
Jim Montrym has been in the business of training mortgage brokers for nearly 30 years. He’s successfully helped over 55,000 individuals obtain their state broker’s license. Throughout the years, his in-depth knowledge and insight into the mortgage industry has allowed his students to more thoroughly understand the concepts and principals outlined in the state broker exams. This gives Jim’s students an edge when it comes to testing. Naturally, the better anyone understands any concept, the better they’ll do on a test.
That’s why Jim breaks down mountains of information into easy-to-understand elements that can be readily absorbed and retained by students who wish to be loan originators. He provides real-life examples and, frequently, humorous observations on many of the complex principals that make up the mortgage industry. His teaching strategy is simple: PTT, or PASS THE TEST! In 2008, Congress passed the Secure and Fair Enforcement for Mortgage Licensing Act (SAFE Act). This federal law requires that ALL states require Mortgage Loan Originators (NOT employed with FDIC insured institutions) to obtain a license and meet the minimum standards of the SAFE Act. In order to insure these standards are met each state agency now participates in the Nationwide Mortgage Licensing System and Registry (NMLS).The SAFE Act is designed to enhance consumer protection and reduce fraud through the setting of minimum standards for the licensing and registration of mortgage loan originators. The SAFE Act requires state-licensed Mortgage Loan Originators (MLOs) to pass a written test, to complete pre-licensure education courses and to take annual continuing education courses as well. Jim Montrym’s National Mortgage Loan Originator School provides these courses for future and current MLOs. Our Live Classroom and Live on Line classes and training products have all been reviewed and approved by the NMLS.
The official NMLS designation for our school is Course Provider #1400075
